Resolve disputes over costs involved with building and construction
Disputes relating to property development, construction and buildings are common and often distressing, affecting business and personal relationships, productivity and performance. Often disputes are very costly to resolve.

Adjudication has now become the preferred method of resolving building contract disputes in NZ. Adjudication is a statutory construction dispute resolution process covered by the Construction Contracts Act 2002.
In a brief overview; once an adjudicator has been appointed, the Claimant has 5 working days in which to submit a claim in writing, and the respondent a further 5 working days to respond in writing. The Adjudicator then has 20 working days in which to study and analyse the submissions presented and make a written determination on the dispute in hand. There are provisions to extend the time for completing the Determination should this be necessary.
Costs are reasonable and relative to the cost of issues in dispute. Where possible and appropriate, dispute resolution is always given high priority, and fast tracked to minimize the time you are exposed to stress, economic loss and unnecessary expense.
